If you have cancer in the knee area, what kind is it?Is it knee cancer? Or is it bone cancer? My mom is going for a scan on Monday to see why she's having knee pain. She's already had breast cancer and skin cancer so we want to make sure it's not cancer that is causing her pain. Thank you!
Bad knees DO run in our family. I'm 15 and I have knee problems as well.

Breast and/or skin cancer almost never metastasizes (spreads) to a peripheral joint.
Relax. It is probably a joint, ligament, muscle injury.

She should get checked out. I doubt its cancer: could be arthritis, bursitis, old joints, bruised muscles, pinched nerves.... lots of things. Have her get it x-rayed, and a Dr.'s opinion.
