good herbal remedy for a dog with sore joints?

good herbal remedy for a dog with sore joints? He just turned 10, and his knee bothers him sometimes. I'm not about to dope him up, and he's already on gluc/chon supplements. Anything else I can be doing?

the big thing in vet med right now is omega 3 fatty acids. they are doing lots of studies on it (please don't ask for details, lol).
yes, it is good for coat, but they believe it helps with arthritis/inflammation as well.
read article below-they did studies on dogs & giving omega 3.

dont forget that physical therapy (water is awseome for joints) and monitoring weight (no fat doggies) greatly helps joints as well.

good luck!

My dog is 6 and started to show signs of stiffness in his joints. He was also getting overweight due to lack of excercise. He didn't want to run around as much. I was drinking mangosteen juice to help with my stiff joints so I decided to give him some. I think it helped him more than me! He loves to run around now and is losing weight. The stiffness is gone most of the time. We love the mangosteen products so much that we built a website to inform people about it.

Please check out http://www.know-your-mangosteen.com when you get a chance. There are a few testimonials on the website about what mangosteen juice has done for humans and animals!

I can almost promise you that you will see wonderful results if you give him colloidal silver, especially a really good colloidal silver product such as Utopia Silver or Mesosilver. And it might also help to add a bit of colloidal gold. You can put both in his drinking water. It is simply wonderful for dogs who begin to have joint and hip problems. As an added bonus, it will likely give him restored vigor and make you think he has dropped years off his age.

Now, I know that some folks may naysay colloidal silver, as they tend to do here with anything that is not a patented mainstream drug. But I have seen this work time and again and we give it to our 12 year old found dog Misty regularly, as well as our other two found dogs. She still romps and plays almost like a puppy.

Two other items that may provide much benefit are horsetail silica and hyaluronic acid. If your glucosaine/chondroiton supplement does not contain MSM, that too would be a good addition.

Note: as an economical alternative, you can get yourself a home generator and make a decent silver solution that will only cost you pennies per gallon.

I agree with Tony. Dogs thrive on colloidal silver and it does not fail to cure even hip dysplasia in older dogs. Colloidal gold is also effective against arthritis and the combination would be a very good one. Besides getting rid of the pain in his knee, you may notice that he will seem healthier with added energy and enthusiasm. We have received many favorable reports in our natural healing pet forum with the added report of overall health improvement. And we have witnessed the health benefits with our own Misty. To get to the source of the problem, I would not neglect to add the additional supplements that Tony mentioned. All of them are excellent for joint health.

Truthfully, when it comes to arthritis and even hip dysplasia in dogs, we have never seen colloidal silver fail.
