How do you treat knee tendinitis (pretty sure its patellar tendinitis) without more than one day rest a week?I am a runner training for cross country running 5-8 miles a day and I have pain which i am 90 percent sure is my tendinitis acting up again
I know if i rest a week it probably would get somewhat better, but that would throw away most of the training I've already done. I ice it and take a pain killer should I invest in a knee brace or what should i do?

tendonitis is a major pain, i've had it in my achilles twice and the best move is to rest it. Im assuming your cross country season doesnt start until the fall, in which case its better to rest now than later in the season. "Rest" doesn't mean stop everything, get on a stationary bike/eliptical machine to do a no impact workout, it will keep you cardiovascularly in shape and makes sure that you are still burning calories. You won't lose too much fitness, and this should prevent something more serious happening to your knee.

Additionally:
-Ice
-Advil
-Stretching
-MINERAL ICE
-Knee Circles
