When I stand up from a sitting position I can't straighten my leg due to knee pain?

When I stand up from a sitting position I can't straighten my leg due to knee pain?I feel acute pain when I straighten my left leg in an effort to stand, after sitting. I'm Ok in the morning, climbing stairs, walking etc. The pain is located on the inside part of the leg, at knee level. Joint pain, maybe? Nothing is swollen.
It takes maybe a minute before the pain leaves and I can stand up and walk. If I walk too much I , the condition becomes worse but not while I'm walking. It's only the next time I straighten my leg after sitting that the pain is worse than if I hadn't walked too much.

It sounds like a problem with the cartilage in your knee. You should see an orthopedic physician. They will determine the cause of your pain, and be able to treat it. Also, a supporter for the knee will help a lot. It keeps the knee in place and you can find them at Walmart or Target. They're not expensive either.

It does sound like a cartilage problem in the knee.
However, orthopedists all seem to think the leg ends at the ankle.
Especially if walking a lot affects it, see a podiatrist ! A foot problem will often cause a knee problem, by putting force on the wrong bits of the knee, or loading the knee unevenly.
