How can you heal a knee injury from running quickly?

i do believe u can heal a knee injury. i personally don't know how, but see a doctor. also make sure it's a doctor that most athletes recommend because a sports doctor won't tell u just to sit out. they will tell u ways that u can stay with ur sport without making your injury worse.

Hi Claton, I found this maybe useful for you....

How badly injured? If you just ran at a track meet and hurt a little, Rest and Ice work wonders. If you don't have a lot of ice or an ice bag, use a package of frozen vegetables, peas are especially good because of their shape inside the bag.
If you can barely walk because this has been going on a long time, see a doctor.
If it is a slight twinge and it has been going on, you might try compression tights meant for running that give added skeletal and muscular support. I'm in love with the CW-X line. They are pricey, but I hurt my IT band early last year and I can't run hills without that extra support.

i have knee problems as an athlete also. my physical trainer gave me a muscle stimulator while icing constantly for about 3 weeks. and starting into the 2nd week, i had to do stationary bike workouts [the ones where you can choose the workout] but a regular one is just fine too. but icing is like the key to every thing. and take ibuprophen/tylenol/[OR]advil not all three

I've had to go to the doctors and I'm awaiting xrays and blood work results but I use 2 knee braces and that helps me tremendously.
Ice when swollen and take it off when you really need to.
