How long does a mild knee sprain take to heal?So I just sprained my knee today in dance class doing a leap kick move that I had no business doing and landed wrong and twisted my right knee inward. As of now I am resting on my bed and it still is sore. My parents think that the knee sprain is minor and I will be better by tomorrow. So is there any chance I will be able to go to school tomorrow or should they take me to the doctor?
Do you think a knee sprain will heal in a day or two or does it take longer?

There are different degrees or grades of a knee sprain. A sprain is a tear, sometimes microscopic or in more severe cases is a visible tear, of a ligament (a taut band of tissue that connects 2 bones).
There are several ligaments in the knee. If your inner portion of the knee joint is what's painful, then you may have sprained your medial collateral ligament. Not sure how severely. If your knee feels unstable (weak, like giving way) when you walk then you might have injured your ACL inside the knee.

Doubt you can heal so quickly to feel fine by tomorrow. Better to get yourself evaluated during the daytime by a good orthopedist.

In the interim, icing for 15 minutes every hour can help and elevating your knee above heart level when you lie down.
