Knee pain from arthritis-info needed?I have been having problems with my knee and received a injection of predinsone yesterday. In the early morning hours after the injection I woke up with excruciating pain and could not bend my knee without strong pain. Is this a result of the injection?? I have called my doctor and awaiting word back.

It could be, but your doctor should be able to tell you for sure.

Knee pain usually results from overuse, poor form during physical activity, not warming up or cooling down, or inadequate stretching. Simple causes of knee pain often clear up on their own with self care. Being overweight can put you at greater risk for knee problems.

YES. It could be that you are having an allergic reaction to it or he hit the wrong spot. Also, sometimes those cortisone injections hurt for four days afterward but not so intensely that You can't move.
