knee problems.... pain.?ok, so i started to play tennis in august of 2009, and i went down on it a few times too when i ran forward to get the ball and my forward momentum just took me down, i also ride horses ( i ride Saddle seat) which puts pressure on my knee. it is my right knee if that matters. the pain is surrounding the joint, sometimes it feels like sharp stabbing pain and other times it feels like dull and ache-y also it feels like some one is grabbing it and squeezing it really hard. i'm 15 i've never had problems with my knees before this, my grandma(on my mom's side) had knee problems and both my grandparents( on my dad's side) and my dad have had knee problems. how do i tell my mom that my knee hurts, with out her thinking that im faking it to get attention, i really don't want to wait for something worse to happen before we can get this taken care of, i don't want to miss, any of the tennis season or miss any of my horse show season.what could be wrong with my knee? i also fell down my friend's steps yesterday and my knee also has been worse since the weather changed ( snowing and stuff)
is there any thing that i could put over it while i play/ride to not stress it so much?i take motrin, two tablets once a day, it lasts for about four hours. and those four hours are great, no pain or any thing, but when those four hours are up, the pain returns with a vengengce

It just sounds like an inherited problem,
If your mum loves you she wants the best for you. Also if she knows your family has suffered from it.
And You should lay of the sports for a little while when you get it checked out. It could make it a hole lot worse.
