Leg and Knee Pain???I'm a very athletic high schooler in Swimming, Nordic Skiing and Track. Recently i've noticed during track that my knee has been bothering me. It hurts to start running but during the workout the pain stops. it hurts to walk downstairs and i also notice when walking i favor my other non hurting leg. Also when bending my leg my flexibility has gone down and when stretched it starts shaking ??? I also have pulsing leg pain randomly when sitting or laying
Im debating whether or not to go to the doctor because i know he is going to tell me to stop running
Does anyone know what might be wrong

It could be rheumatoid arthritis especially with knee pain.A person's joints aren't as flexible as they should be. As for the shaking I have no idea. I would go to a doctor. If it's rheumatism then you'll have to take medication probably for the rest of your life. Hopefully ,it's something else.

You may have a partial medial or lateral meniscus tear. I know that you enjoy sports but look at it like this....Either rest your knee now and get the issue taken care of or end your running career forever! I'm a Certified Surgical Technician. I assist the surgeon and have been involved with several procedures with young people who have over done it. Take care of your body now. If you are completely healthy, it won't take long to get in shape and pick up where you left off next season. GO TO THE DOCTOR!

don't go to a doctor. i have a knee problem when i run on hard surfaces (concrete, asphalt, hard turf) but no problem on grass and if i stand or walk too long i have to take a nap, still not sure on that reason...
but go to a really good chiropractor. i was told to go to one by my trainer for athletics and actually to my amazement was that my posture was wrong. i was taught to stand straighter up, shoulders back, neck straightened and how to hold my head back properly and to my amazement i can walk up stairs again, i can sorta run on the harder surfaces longer and i feel overall much better
do your self a favor and visit one i will cost u very little but u need to fix your posture... that means u will hurt for a while cause u need to re-train the ligiments in your body to stand and sit differently but u need to stand straighter up, like in the military!
