What is the cause of my inner knee pain?

What is the cause of my inner knee pain?I had a bike accident today outside my apartment where I took a sharp turn on a wet road and my bike fell over and began skidding while I was still on it. At the time of the accident nothing seemed wrong and I appeared unharmed, but nearly an hour later when I got up and began walking my right inner knee began hurting badly and it became hard to walk. The only way to relieve this pain is to walk with my foot pointing sideways to the right. It is still hurting with a similar effect, so I was wondering what sort of problem is likely wrong with my knee. I'm assuming when the bike fell it must have fallen on my knee but at the time I didn't even notice.

ice and elevate the knee as much as possible. take ibuprofen to reduce swelling, and pain. if the problem doesn,t diminish in a couple of days, you have one good option. see an orthopedic surgeon. they have the knowledge to give you a diagnosis. i did this. an MRI verified the problem. an x ray will not image soft tissue damage, which can be substantial in a knee. my x ray showed nothing. an MRI revealed a torn meniscus, and severe arthritis.

Often with accidents, pain may not be felt straight away. It sounds like you had a nasty fall. You could try going to your pharmacy and getting Ibuprofen, which will take the pain away; but if you have insurance or you can afford it, you should go to see your doctor.
