I've been having some knee pain from running?I have been running for two years straight. Recently, my knees have started to bother me occasionally. It will bother me on the top, outer part of my knee. This normally happens during my run, or occasionally when I'm just doing everyday activites. I know that if your knee hurts in certain places you might have tendonitis or maybe other conditions, so I was wondering if where my knee hurts was anything to be concerned about or if it was just a common runner's knee problem.

ive been running a lot, and i still get those.
what my coach says is to start running on grass more, but once mine hurt really bad so i just used a knee brace on at races. Your knee feels a lot better after a couple days in that, but after you take it off, its gotten so dependent on it, it'll hurt a little, but then eventually go away

well i am positive it's normal. Recently my left knee had swollen from running, not too much, i could walk but i couldn't pull my knee back for a quads stretch, it felt like my leg was moving in slow motion, it's recovering and i hope it does for soccer season. I have been running track for 3 years now. But avoid running, walk and other things and put ice, icyhot and hot water(not too hot, whichever you prefer on it everyday.) I have had lots of knee injuries, so i think that's the solution.

I would probably change shoes if they are worn. Also do weight resistance training especially toe and heel raises along with leg extensions and curls to strengthen your legs. Good luck!

If you consistently get it every week, I'll suggest you do something about it.
Are you a daily runner, pounding on pavements, running long dist frequently??? You may like to try these suggestions:
1. cross train
2. stretch lightly before you run. Stretch seriously after you run.
3. vary your running surfaces
4. ice ice baby. ice any area that you feel is strained withing 2 days after your workout - it really helps.. be careful not to burn your skin tho
5. use an ITB strap
6. massage after icing the area.
7. check your shoes - do they need a change?
8. check other areas of injury, sometimes, a different problem area affects your running gait & other muscle groups.
9. consult a physio.
Cheers :)
