What causes and is there treatment for lower interior knee pain?Hi,
I have pain in inside front of my lower left leg just below my knee and it is not shin splints. The pain is there when my lower leg is move inward like kicking a soccer ball. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

might be a touch of arthritis in the joint. and yes young people can get it to I was diagnosed when i was 16 with it in both of my knees.

Unfortunately you don't state if you are involved in any physical activities that might have caused the problem. The reason for this is that the activity itself is sometimes a way of knowing what the problem is. My guess is that you have what is called a Pes Anserine bursitis or tendonitis. The cause or mechanism of this problem will also help to remove it by making the proper adjustments in you or the material that is being employed. For this use a combination of ice for 15 to 20 minutes 3-4 times a day. You may also use a non-steroidal such as Alieve or Motrin taken with food for a few days. If there is no improvement then see your doctor and also ask for a referral to a physical therapist.
