What is the pain and stiffness behind my knee? After standing for a long period of time, the spot behind my left knee begins to stiffen with a small amount of pain. There is also minimal swelling. Would anyone know what it is? I hope it's not too serious because I don't have insurance :(

If the pain and stiffness are only located behind your knee (not your thigh or calf) then you might have:
-knee arthritis/cyst
-ligament injury
-mensical injury (cartilage)
Without health insurance your options for getting evaluated (you should) and treatment are:
-a local free medical clinic
-some communities sponsor a free medical day
-a local medical school or university medical center (you might be able to pay a lower rate if your qualify based on your income or job status)
Hope you feel better soon. Be well.
