What may be causing my severe knee pain?As long as I can remember, I have had periodic and severe knee pain. My knees sometimes will pop and also when I am walking sometimes it feels like the bones are grinding together. Also, every few weeks I will get severe pain in my knees that gets much worse when I stand up or walk. Does anyone know what this may be from?

It can be many things, but the best idea would be to see a doctor.
If by 'pop' you mean that is dislocates, it can be a patellar misalignment. I recently had surgery to fix this, but having a Tibia Tubercle Transfer.
Otherwise it sounds like you may have a cartilage problem and a knee scoping would be sufficient to test and treat this.

Krazy but can help: Rate your pain from 1 to 10. Then TAP gently on your palm over the crease that shows at the little-finger side when fingers are bent slightly while saying, "Even though I have this terrible pain, I accept myself".
Repeat 5 times. Now ask if pain is less, a 7 or 8. THEN tap on very highest part of head & say, "Even though my pain is still there, I accept myself". Repeat 5 more times. Ask if pain is less & how much.
This may take 15 minutes; keep going gently until pain is 1 or 2. THEN hold your head straight & look down at floor with eyes. TAP that hand spot and SLOWLY roll your eyes up to the ceiling (without moving the head). Repeat till zero pain. Pain will disappear!
Find a Naturopath who does soft-tissue therapy to eliminate future trouble. Good luck!
