can I have an MRI with a knee replacement that used cobalt chromium?

can I have an MRI with a knee replacement that used cobalt chromium?I believe the metal used in my knee replacement is cobalt chrome or cobalt chromium. I am checking to be sure. I need to know if I can have an MRI. thanks for any light someone can shed. I can't seem to get a clear answer from my dr office. MRI tech said it is ok but dr was not sure. Help!

I've had a knee replacement a few years ago. I do not remember what materials it is made from. I have had a MRI last year without any problems. You should trust your MRI tech, they deal with this all the time. Doctors don't always know everything.
