Can tendinitis in the knee be treated with a brace?A friend of mine has tendinitis in her knee and I think I might have it in mine from doing a round off back tuck step out and stepping out on the wrong knee and it turned.. I am currently borrowing a knee brace from my friend.. But do I need further treatment? Please don't reply back with a "that depends on the severity" i don't really care about all that crap.. Just need an answer.

Usually, tendonitis responds to ice, motrin or aleve, rest, and a brace can help you restrict how much stress you put on your leg. Ice works 20 min 0n/40 min off. Take the medication round the clock for a week(800 mg of motrin 3 x/day or 500mg of aleve twice a day), making sure that you eat something to keep your stomach from harm, and rest your leg as much as you can.
If that doesn't help, see a doctor about better treatment.
