I had an accident at work, surgery in my knee and treatment for almost 2 years now.?Now I have a different ailment, as a consequence of the accident, but they do not cover. Fibromyalgia. They said I am ready to work now with some restrictions, but this new sickness is going to make it really difficult. I do not have my insurance anymore. What should I do?

Get a Doctor to back you up that something is indeed wrong with you and file for Social Security Disability......I can relate to what your going through i have constant lower back and legs pain and have had all kinds of testing and proceedures done to no avail so i suspect i may have fibromalgia, hardly anyone can relate to that pain except those of us who have it.

How did you come up with the idea that Fibromyalgia is a consequence of your injury?
Generally Fibromyalgia is treatable and does not prevent you from working.
You will need very strong medical documentation to get approved for disability for this ailment due to the fact that you may be able to work with restrictions. I understand your pain and you very well may not be able to work but it is going to be hard to prove it. The fact that many can and do work with this ailment makes it hard for those who can't to prove that they really can't. Because there are so many levels to this ailment and for most some work is available the process will probably go through at least the administrative judge level of appeals for disability which is generally 2 to 3 years.

REAL fibromylagia is not highly treatable--ther is minimal success with treatment--there is more hype tahn hope with the approved meds--
fibro is highly overdiagnosed, but it can be triggered by anotehr physical trauma--
in my case I had 2 seriosu injures (back, head) and my symptoms began around taht time--and every seriosu illness.injury seems to make it worse
