Injury after surgery?

Injury after surgery?During october i had a minor knee surgery done being my kneecap wouldn't stay in place due to many falls and physical therapy wasn't working so he said my last option would be surgery. after surgery everything was going fine until about a month ago i fell in physical therapy and 2 weeks ago i fell in gym so i went back to my doctor but he said i "couldn't re injure it" so i took nothing of it. i have a treadmill downstairs in my house and i've been using that to workout my knee but now it's been killing me, and is swollen no matter what plus i can see where the muscle went down where before i know i had some structure to my knee. this all happened in the time of using the treadmill. could i of hurt it again or is it just from the workout i've been giving it? any ideas?

It could be that you hurt it again. There are numerous causes of knee problems. It is one of the most common complaints at practically all ages.

While knee pain has multiple causes, the most common is osteoarthritis, particularly in the older population. However, there are other conditions besides osteoarthritis which can cause pain, such as meniscal cartilage tears and ligament injuries of the knee, or issues that affect blood circulation in the surrounding bone area, leading to a condition called osteonecrosis.
