Is it normal for your knees hurt when you begin exercising regularly?


Is it normal for your knees hurt when you begin exercising regularly?About 2 months ago, I started Tony Horton's 10 minute trainer exercises. Before that, I didn't exercise much, but now that I do,my knees hurt when I bend them and put pressure on them, like when I am doing squats. Is this normal because I have just began exercising? It has been two months since I started the exercising videos but my knees still hurt. Does anyone know a way to stop them from hurting as much?

Are you warming up properly? Best way to hurt yourself is to not warm up with stretching exercises before starting the routine.

If you haven't exercised much in the past, some of that pain is the result of using muscles that were not used as much. That being said, you say you been doing this for two months and they still hurt. If they hurt all the time and not just during, or right after, the exercise, then you might have an injury the doctor needs to look at.
