How long does it take for a hyperextended knee to heal?yesterday at gymnastics i was doing a dismount off bars and opened up early so i landed with both legs straight and i fell backwards. i think i just hyperextended both of my knees. i did the rest of the events after i hurt them but now today they are very sore when i straighten or bend them. i have sectionals on thursday..if i stay off of them today will they be good enough for thursday? i dont need them healed all the way.. just enough so i can do stuff and get through the meet.

it takes up to 1 or two weeks
just ice and allow rest
ice up to 3 times a day
or you can ice for 20 minutes and an hour of and repeat but you cant pass 20 minutes because then youll just end up killing you nerves and dip in warm water with salt. also put on those creams for the saorness i know it hurts im going threw a really bad sprained ankle right now
