Knee Disorders: left knee pain for a younger person?

left knee pain for a younger person?hey im only 18 and im im having pain in my left knee but only when I lift it to a certain height. Also im having sort of a popping feeling when i go up my stairs. Im also going to my physical therapist to see what it is. Any suggestions what it is or how to solve the problem?
