What kind of problems can arise from having a cartilage scrape knee surgery?I dislocated my knee cap at work. After getting it fixed, having physical therapy for a few weeks, and an MRI done, My doctor wants to perform knee surgery where they will scrape cartilage out of my knee. He told me there shouldn't be any problems to arise from this simple procedure, but I know that doesn't mean that something couldn't happen to me, and hasn't happened to people everywhere. So if you have had said surgery, let me know how things went afterward, things I should look out for, etc.

for some it does the job, for others, it exposes more "bone-on-bone" with subsequent pain, & ultimately, a knee replacement...

i had it done with my surgery my only problem i have after 3 years is arthritis and occasionally it buckles
