knee injury?

knee injury diagnosis

knee injury?self diagnosis, hairline fracture or torn ligament, what do you think. I was cannoeinig, we stopped to do some jumping off a rope, I couldn't hold my weight and landed with my knee straight as can be. I could bend my knee completely in water without pain, but I can not put any weight on it nor lift it without assistance & pain. there is swelling above the knee cap on the front of my leg. no insurance so a doctor is a last resort unfortunatly. it's exactly like my elbow was with a hairline fracture. I could bend it fully, but no twisting or lifting + it was in a half cast.

It is impossible to tell without an x-ray...even the best orthopedists rely on radiographs to detect the presense of an x-ray...a severe sprain or bone contusion (very likely in your case) can be just as painful and limiting as a fracture.

If you have a ahirline fracture in your knee, then you need a brace on it, and if you have a torn ligament--oh well, I've had 3 torn ligaments and still remember the pain. One way or the other, looks like you still need to go to a doctor.
Meanwhile you might try to take a supplement that actually helps your body to heal: I split my toe in half last month, it required 7 stitches and the docs weren't so sure if that toe would make it. THRREE days after that accident was I walking my usual route with my dog, which is 3 miles long and I hardly had any pain. A friend of mine introduced me to it, and it actually works, and it works very well. The stuff is called Advanced Amtrotose complex and I ordered it from this site:
