KNEE INJURY!?!?!?!?!?!?

KNEE INJURY!?!?!?!?!?!?In the past few days my right knee has been hurting a lot. I first noticed it walking up the stair 3 days ago. When i came to the top of the flight of stairs, i had a sharp, searing pain. However for the rest of the day it didn't hurt. The next day it was fine until i had baseball, and when i was doing high knees, butt kickers, and sprints it started hurting a lot. It hurt while i was doing the sprints, so much that i had to stop short, and then it hurt directly after i did each sprint. After baseball though i had no pain. The next day i had baseball again. However this time it didnt hurt. I was running a lot and i didnt feel a thing. But randomly it started hurting, so much that i could barely run. And after practice it barely hurt but this time i did feel something. I slept and i dont feel anything really, but then i havnt dont any physical activity yet today. Does anybody have any idea what injury i have, how i can cure it, and how i can ice it and stretch so that it wont hurt during the duration of a two hour baseball game tonight.

That sounds like the tendon for the muscle to your kneecap has tightened up to cause that pain as it pulls the kneecap up on and into the knee to make it hard and painful to bend the knee. Because it's already short, icing it is going to try to shorten it up more yet which would add to your pain once the ice wears off and the feelings return. Heat would do it better. The best way is to release that tendon which can be done to get rid of the problem but is difficult to do and should be done by one trained to do so.
