Knee Pain.?I've had bad knee pain for about 3 months. It just started randomly hurting when I went out jogging. The pain is in my left knee and it hurts behind the knee, at the top of the fibula and some times in the bottom left dimple under the kneecap. After I hurt it I iced it and took lots of pain medicine. It didnt help. I went to a orthopedic got a mri and it showed nothing!! So I've been in pain for a long time with no answers other then just go to physical therapy. I also had a cortizone shot which did not help. I have been to 12 physical therapy appointments and no improvment. My fibula head pokes out more on the knee that I hurt then my other knee. They think my pain has something to do with the fibula head. What could it be?? Any ideas are welcome.
I have been to a orthopedic doctor.
Its not osgood schaletters they already did test for that on me and they said it wasnt that.

I would go to a sport medicine kind of doctor. My son has trouble with his knees. His kneecap slides out of place all the time and has similar pain that you describe.
Perhaps getting yet another opinion might help. But go to the guy with the best reputation--------I was advised to go to a specialist that deals with sports related injuries regarding my son because we are waisting our money at the physical therapy place.
Also, my son found some relief at the chiropractor. He noticed Patrick's leg is slightly shorter than the other and one hip tips a little bit forward-------all this could be throwing him off a bit and causing, of all things, knee pain.
Good luck. I hope you find answers to your problem soon!
