KNEE problem?

KNEE problem?I am an extremly active athlete, with basketball and track (high jump). I jump ALOT. In baskteball im the dunker, and all i do in track is high jump and long jump. right above my right knee cap however, hurts. This is the knee i plant on the ground for my jumps. I had tendonitis in both knees before, but i rest for about a month to let the swelling go down. I got extremelly active again, but toned down alittle so not to overuse it. I lift, but do the excercises right to protect me knees. Is there anyone who can tell me what this is, and any treatments (supplements, braces, wraps). THANKS.

sounds like you have a strained knee cap, the muscles above the knee...or it could possibly be a torn meniscus in the knee...you need an MRI to find out

go to the chiropractor

First off, you need a MRI of your knee to diagnose the exact problem. It probably is fluid build up.

Good luck!!

see if you can get a cortizone shot...ice it and wear a brace when you can...i have knee trouble..one replaced and i'm only 56....take care
