knee swelling?ok so like friday
i woke up and my right knee felt a little stiff.
like i could move it but it felt weird to move it
i figured i just slept on it wrong and went to work (just started this weekend)
after i couldnt really move my legs but i figured that was to be expected since im not used to standing for so long and since im working sales floor all im doing is standing
the next day was pretty much the same
both legs were sore but my right more so then my left.
i figured maybe i pulled a muscle or something
but yesterday morning (i think i can say that since its now almost 3am monday morning) i noticed my knee was swelling a little. i wrapped it up in a bandage and went to work but when i got home i noticed the swelling got worse. its not really in pain
i mean
it hurts a little if i bend my leg back too far cuz its stiff
but it doesnt hurt to stand on.
is it swelling just cuz i have been on my legs so much recently? and wut can i do for it?
i put ice on it for now. is that good?
sadly i have work tomorrow too and i cant call out :/

You might be wearing the wrong kind of shoes to stand in all day.
Or, you could have a developing knee problem.
Id go to the Dr. to find out.

U really need to give your knees some rest & keep the weight off them which I guess is hard to do if you've just started a new sales job. When your're not working soak in a warm bath with epsom salts, lie down with your legs elevated & wear compressive therapy knee supports to help relieve pain, reduce swelling and maintain joint mobility. U need to wear them to work too to help provide compressive support to your joints.

Swollen joints can be from a number of different causes. Is the left knee bothering you also, or is it just the knee on the right? You mentioned that both legs were sore, but where?--in the knees in both or just the right knee? I'm not clear on what you are saying--the legs or the knees?
It can help narrow things down if you are able to tell if it is really one joint vs. more than one joint.
Also, is there any redness or hot feeling to the joint and do you have any fevers, chills, flu-like symptoms?
How old are you?
Have you been out in the woods or grassy areas where you could have possibly gotten a tick bite?--Lyme disease is quite prevalent in some areas of this country.
Another possible infectious cause of joint inflammation / infection can come from hepatitis and also STD's such as gonnorhea. Sometimes, a skin infection can travel to a joint and cause infection in a joint.
Other possibilities include rheumatologic diseases such as lupus, rheumatoid arthritis and also gout. Any skin rashes? Any urinary problems?
It does not sound like you can remember anything in particular that would have caused an injury to your joint as the cause, and because it is getting worse and becoming more painful and swollen, you need to see a doctor. The doctor may be able to take a sample of fluid from the knee to help in diagnosing the cause.
As there might be a possibility that the cause of your knee problem is infectious, you do not want to wait around if it is, because infection of a joint can cause destruction of the cartilage and bone. See a doctor as soon as possible.
When doing a search for knee swelling, another name for fluid in the knee is called EFFUSION
