My knee is injured and I havent been able to do cardio because it hurts, what else can I do?


My knee is injured and I havent been able to do cardio because it hurts, what else can I do?I still lift weights but I can tell Im gaining some anyways. Im used to running the treadmill or using the eliptical but I cant because my knee hurts. How can I do something to "giggle" the fat away? (Im taking care of my knee and I have a knee brace) Can I do any leg exercizes to keep my legs in shape?

as Im sure you have heard before, the best exercise is walking. it's low impact and won't hurt your knees.

Try swimming - check with your doctor - don't swim breast stroke. Front crawl, can use kick board extra leg practices.

If you are a long distance runner some pools actually have a set up for pool running.
I heard of one injured fellow had to switch to pool running to train, came out and ran his marathon with no loss in time.
