Science Anatomy Knee Joint movement question?


Science Anatomy Knee Joint movement question?hey peoples
i have to do this science project, we have to research the human body and stuff and use this software to contruct the movement.
what muscles make the knee/lower leg move, what muscles contract for the tibia and fibula to move forwards and then backwards?
i need all the help i can get, thanks!

If you are referring to flexion and extension of the knee joint, flexion is caused by the hamsttrings, biceps femoris, there are 2 muscles: the semitendinous and semi-membranous. Extension at the knee joint is caused by the quadriceps femoris.
