Sore knee after running.?Sore knee after running.?
I run about 3-4 miles every 2nd day for the past month or so the inside back of my left knee has being sore the following day. Yesterday I did two days in a row and that part of the knee is rather stiff today. Not a great pain but annoying. How do I remedy this?
Please advise straps or etc and also what foods to eat to maximize healing/prevent wear and tear.
Thanks.
Not sure it's calf or hamstring.
I'll say the inside of left knee, a little to the back.
I do stretch a lot so it's not that. Can't really stretch your knee!
Let's try again.
Thanks

Sounds like a small tear to the calf or possibly hamstring. You need to stretch before and after running. You should then apply ice to the affected area after running. You probably should go see a physio before the tear gets any worse and to get invaluable advice on stretching, strengthening exercises, icing and applying heat etc. Of course you should already have a clean diet which is high in protein from different sources and which will aid recovery from exercise. However it will not heal an injury on its own (unless you rest and eat for months which I guess you don't want to do).
