What is the cause of the knee pain & what could this be? Treatment?I've been having knee pain on my left knee, the right side of the knee cap. I am not on the track team and the last time i really ran was about 1 month ago. I get this type of pain once every week. It hurts when I walk up and down the stairs, but not when I bend it. I was thinking that it might be Iliotibial band syndrome, but I am not sure. What would you say?
My doctor doesn't recommend an X-ray. Should I do an x-ray or mri

It sounds like something i had in my knee, long word hard to pronounce. its basically when you do lots of activity when your growing. Ice it and wear a simple knee brace.
