I am training for my first half marathon and I have achy knees. I noticed I run on the side of my foot. Help?I started running about 2 years ago, but have only run short distances, up to 5 miles, never long runs like what I am doing now. Just recently got sized and bought shoes, but on my left foot I have a tendency to run on the side of my foot and my left knee has pain. I just need some training tips on how to correct my form. Any help would be appreciated.

You either need new shoes or orthotics for your shoes. There are shoes and/or orthotics that will correct your tendency to run on the side of your foot. You should go to a running specialty store and they will help you out.

I has a gait analysis and found it very worthwhile.

If compared to some other activities, marathon training is serious business.
