How long can swelling of a knee last after a fall?About 10 days ago I had fallen on my knee, and over night my knee swelled up with bruising. It has been warm to the touch almost since, but today doesn't seem as warm or swollen. It doesn't appear to be dislocated. I can walk on it, but it is still swollen and really black and blue. Does the fluid eventually absorb into your body? I just didn't know how long swelling can last on the knee? Thanks for any help!

you should go see a chriopacter as they can put something on it and it heals much faster as I did that and my injury was healed in 1 week from a bruise.

Go to an MD and get the knee drained. In time your knee will absorb the fluid but draining it really accelerates the healing process.
Another reason to see an MD is to have the injury properly evaluated.
