Pain in leg from thigh to knee? (muscle pain?)?

Pain in leg from thigh to knee? (muscle pain?)?i had fallen from some height and hit with an impact in a way that strained the muscle in my thigh.
when i had hit it, it did not hurt much it was more like a giant bruise
the first day it was like a really sore muscle on my upper thigh and it was difficult to lift my leg up without my hand lifting the weight.

it doesnt hurt to have my leg extended but it feels uncomfotable to have it bent all the way in but i could bend it all the way.

now it has spread from my upper thigh all the way down to my knee cap.
i cant lift my leg up unless i use my arms to lift it. but it doesnt hurt to move my leg at all if i use my arms to move it.
it hurts to use my leg muscle to move it.
its a pain now instead of a sore. but it feels like a stiff, taunt, sore if i sit still for a while

what is this? how do i help it? its been a few days now

When you landed you more than likely tightened up back muscles and they can be causing the pain you are having. When muscles in the lower back are tight they can press into the nerves going to your legs to cause the pains in them. As you didn't do much damage to the leg it would seem the back, which is much more prone to injury than your leg is. to get rid of the tight back muscles to get the pressure off the nerves you have to free up those muscles and here's how do do that:
Back:
(do from a sitting position)
Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder, fingers over the back and the palm in the front and firmly pull down on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.
