What might've caused this stiff knee? How should I treat it?Yesterday, a few hours after a quick mile run in the afternoon, I started experiencing some minor knee pain on my left leg. It still feels a little stiff right now - I can jog fine and all - but it's painful to squat, try to perform the quadricep stretch, or run really fast. There's no swelling or anything, though, and it feels like the stiffness is only at the front of the knee.
Is this stiff knee a serious injury? How should I treat it, besides the obvious answer of going to the doctor? Thanks for your help.

With injuries you usually want to apply ice for 1-2 days to keep the swelling down, but since this is not the issue I would use moist heat--soak in a warm bath and see if this helps. Avoid exercises that cause pain--pain is your body telling you something's not right. If this doesn't resolve in a week or so, I'd see a doctor.
