What should I do about my sore knees when I run?

What should I do about my sore knees when I run?I began running recently and was running 2mi on a treadmill m-f for about two weeks. My knees became pretty sore and felt puffy for a good week following. I'm a new runner and wondering if this is normal? Should I be icing? Will my knees adjust?

Thanks

DO YOU RUN ON YOUR BALL OF FOOT OR HEELS?

A STUDY SAY THAT PEOPLE LANDING ON THEIR HEELS WHILE RUNNING HAVE OFTEN JOINT COMPLAINTS.

PAIN IS THE WAY OUR BODY TELLS US TO STOP!

BETTER REDUCE THE STRAIN AND CONSULT A DOC.

MAYBE YOU SHOULD TAKE SOME JOINT-TABS WITH GLUCOSAMINES AND CHONDROTINES.

definitely ice your knee, you could be developing tendonitis, I'm not an expert but I have tendonitis, and I regret not treating it before it got real bad.
