What's the best way to treat a sore, stiff, gimpy knee at home? When I've had flareups in the past, I've tried over - the - counter medications and other home remedies, but nothing seems to help much except for time. It probably needs to be surgically repaired or replaced, but in the meantime, any suggestions, please, as to what I can do...?

I absolutely love those ThermaCare heat wraps. Or just a regular heating pad if you are sitting around at home. Also, I suggest using ace wraps (nighttime) and braces (daytime) to keep the knee supported at all times.
If you have insurance, or even a really nice doctor, you could ask about Celebrex. It works wonders for me and my doctor always makes sure to get samples for me so that I don't have to pay out of pocket for it (I don't have insurance).
