You ever had a dog with knee problems?Have anyone ever had a dog with knee problems? I may have a problem not in the joint but something about shading on the outside of the bone and extra bone maybe. They did x-rays and I have to go to a specialist now. I am very concerned about live span? Will this lesson his life somehow?

My chihuahuas back knees pop out of place and my vet said that when a dog has knee problems there are a few options to correct it and no the dogs life span isnt affected by this. Depending on the problem at hand some can wear special braces while others require a surgical procedure to fix the problem and others leave the problem alone and limit their dogs jumping, stair climbing etc. Hope this helps...
