Marathon Training Injuries
Rick Jean from Christie Clinic's Department of Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine discusses common running injuries with Jennifer Ketchmark. Due to the upcoming Christie Clinic Illinois Marathon, they want to inform runners of common ailments that can affect their training. Jean discusses shin splints, heel pain, Achilles tendinitis, knee pain, and plantar fasciitis and ways each can be treated. Meet Rick Jean: Rick Jean has his Master's degree from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio in Exercise Physiology and his Bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Bioscience/Athletic Training.
