What is the common factor in my autoimmune diagnoses?I have been diagnosed with autonomic neuropathy (no I am not diabetic, an alcoholic, or overweight), an immune complex, Raynaud's phenomenon, and fibromyalgia.
I feel like these should all fit together somehow, does anyone know of any information on how these could all be related? I feel like it is very odd to have all of them happen at one acute onset. My doctor is nice, but I need more information than he is apparently willing to give.
I am 24, was not in bad shape, and have no history of problems besides a dislocated knee and ADHD. I also have a history of a moderate to severe eating disorder about 5 years ago. Acute onset of current conditions happened January 2008.

there was a really interesting article in Glamour magazine about autoimmune disorders i believe last month. there is a startling connection with these diseases and the consumption of processed foods and estrogen. I can't remember everything but try checking the website for that article it was the issue with penelope cruz on the front cover.

I am not an expert. However, many immunological diseases can take time to evolve into something. TIll then, it can be difficult to come to a conclusion. You may have has a lot of blood tests done, might be worth mentioning them here. I have suffered joint pains for the last five years. In the first three months of that, I used to feel dizzy when standing etc. Then that symptom completely disappeared. Then last year i got a psoriatic rash, so i thought i have psoriatic arthritis. Now I have stomach bloating and pain and they are thinking i have crohns disease. So you see, things evolve, and you may be lucky and everything may even disappear.

fibromyalgia is not autoimmune--if the doc is saying it is--you need a new doc-
it is a disorder of the central nervous system
