Knee problem: Queens County/NYC ...friend developed growth of bone spur on the underside of knee bone itself/?

Knee problem: Queens County/NYC ...friend developed growth of bone spur on the underside of knee bone itself/?Painful...Orthopedists tell this friend to get physical therapy. It is not working and severe pain persists, pressing on the nerve.

ANY NYers or others either Orthopedic surgeons or anyone else have other ideas?

You don't tell the friends age. If it is a bone spur, then they can do arthroscopic surgery and remove the spur. It is a day surgery and can even be done while awake. I don't know why the orthopedic doesn't want to do the procedure but contact another doctor..

Hi,I did the following:

Moka gets Surpass topically on her bad leg.ASF

My horse Moka (aka FMR Mocha) has a big problem with her leg. This video was shot by friend Leslie with a Flip. I'm putting on the medication Surpass to help reduce pain and swelling. Backstory: A bone spur on LF leg (above knee) is injuring tendons. Moka started to limp after "playing around". A vet visit, x-rays, and a consult with WSU, gave a diagnosis of "bone spurs on the distal radius", probaly inherited from her Mustang parents (& their european ancestors). My next step is to talk to a WSU Vet School equine surgeon who has seen her x-rays from 2005 (as a yearling, Fallon Mustang Ranch took her to WSU in Pullman over concern about "bumps" on legs.Tiny dots in her 2005 x-rays are now a "mountian range" of bone spurs...so orthoscopic surgery is out.
