Suggestions for knee pain relief?About 8 years ago I injured my right knee in an accident. It took so long to heal, that I think I damaged my left knee from having it carry my weight. For the last 3 or 4 months, my knee was pain free. I injured my left knee about a month ago, and the pain is getting worse, to where it's starting to affect mobility. There's no visible bruising and it's not swollen. Does anyone have any suggestions as to pain relief? It would really be appreciated. I have tried pain relievers such as Tylenol, Motrin, and Naproxin and they have not helped. I have also tried sitting in a hot tub and muscle relaxers with no relief.

Rest it & don't twist your body while not twisting your feet such as getting in & out of a car. Don't step off of high places.

Sorry to hear of your pain. I would recommend you see a Doctor to see if you have developed arthritis in one or both knees. They have injections for knee pain that lasts 6 months now! Also try the elastic knee supports sold in Walmart ( best price) I wear one for my foot and it helps support it and makes a big difference that medication wont help. I hope this helps and you feel better!!

You really should see a dr., but if you are determined to try everything first you should know some things can be fixed early on while if you wait they become problems much more difficult and costly to fix.
I will tell you I take glucosamine condroitin. I am a medical transcriptionist and I type medical records for a living. I have been diagnosed with carpal tunnel and taking this vitamin has helped me greatly, as well as my knees.
