What are some knee problems that relate to my symptoms?I am a 14 year old girl and I have been having knee troubles. The thing is I'm not majorly sports active, I am a cheerleader though. But I'm not sure how I could have injured my knee. It is mainly my left one and the pain is on and off for about 2-3 months now. It is right in the joint of my knee and when I walk it feels like something sliding through my knee and my two bones are rubbing together, and I have no idea what it could be. I am going into the doctor soon, but I just want some sort of idea of what might be the problem. So if anyone might know of possible knee injuries that relate to my symptoms, PLEASE HELP!

Sounds like a meniscus tear. Basically its a tear in the shock absorbing cartilige in your knee. Meniscal tears are most commonly caused by twisting or over-flexing the joint.
Best to see a Doctor though to make sure.
