What can this left knee pain be?I'm a 24 year old female. I have had knee pain for about two weeks now. There is no sign of swelling or redness, warmth or anything externally showing. The pain comes and goes suddenly, sometimes it keeps me from sleeping. The only way I know how to explain the pain is sharp tight feeling. I can walk on it fine. I am a server part time so I am on my feet for long periods of time. What might this be?

i had a sore knee last august. i was given steroids for three days for the pain. it worked for three days. by the end of oct. i was on crutches. the orthopedic doc diagnosed me with a torn meniscus on the inside of my left knee. i would definitely have your knee looked at. you don,t want a surprise like me. i was fortunate to have disability; i eventually retired and had a total knee replacement.
