What should I expect with a knee scope?

What should I expect with a knee scope?I am meeting with my surgeon in couples weeks and my doctor said he would most likely do a scope. I hurt my knee about 2 months ago and all x-rays and MRI's have come back normal. The pain and grinding and such have not gone away so they are going to probably do a scope. Any info would be helpful! (Preferably self-experiences)
THANKS!

been there. ask them if they intend to probe and flush to remove any gritty particles that may be causing binding, soreness, etc.

if the flush helps with the walking, get several months of rehab to rebuild the muscle tone and tendons.

If cartilage must be removed, that isn't so bad, no more volleyball, etc., but walking normally is usual

Hi,I did the following:

Knee Scope

You can see two tears in the patellar articular cartilage (one looks like a hole, the other like a slit). The areas around the tears were cleaned up, some meniscal degredation was cleaned up, and a chunk of loose cartilage was taken out. A loose flap of cartilage near the femoral condyle was also taken off.
