And I would also suggest you do get better kneepads.Moisturize,before,after,and between matches.
It's because of the rubbing against the pads and also the mat that is causing your knees to be rough and split. I think it's time to give your poor knees a break for awhile. Continuing to abuse your knees is asking for long term trouble.
