knee pains?I have really bad knee pains especially when it gets cold. my right knee bothers me more than my left knee and they crack all the time because they get locked up and if i move my legs up and down it cracks really loud. This runs in my family, the right knee being a problem but no one in my family had this problem this young. I used to run for 3 years in middle school does this have anything to do with it? What could it be?

All i can say, is the pain is from the cracking, becasue i crack my right knee every so often, and i get pain in it sometimes, i dont know how to treat it though, sorry

well, that cracking is from your knee cap moving around. as women, we have looser knees than men, so stuff moves around. if it really bothers you, you can get a compression brace at a pharmacy store. those are just tight heat insulating sleeves that go around the knee. and it does work quite well. if it hurts alot while walking up and down stairs, then maybe it is time to go see a doctor.
i dislocated my knee 2 years ago and it took me a while to convince my family that i nee to see a doctor. he told me 1 of the 4 ligiments was gone and i could shift my knee abnormally. so i had knee surgery.
unless you did something really drastic like dislocation, then its is just a wearing out item. try doing low impact exercising like biking or swimming.
