Knee problems?

Knee problems?I have a little issue with my knee. It is nothing major, but around the knee I have a burning sensation. It itches a little bit also but for the most part is simply a slight burning feeling. I normally have this occur after I play a soccer game. Running for a few miles on a treadmill normally doesn't agitate it.

My concern is that I might be weakening or causing problems with my knee due to lateral movement. I feel that it is mostly inflammation but I want to see if anyone else might have any ideas or even had this issue. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, preventative issues even more beneficial.
The burning and discomfort is mainly "around" the kneecap rather than on it. Mainly the above and around the top of the knee rather than below it.

Does the pain come on suddenly? At its worst does It feel like a hot poker? does it come and go or is it there all the time? It could be a tiny bit of cartilage in the fluid of you knee. There are loads of things it could be. Try taking cod liver oil and/ or glucosamine. It will help. there are some simple exercises you can do just to keep the knee moving properly. As a rule though if it hurts = stop. there are loads of things I could ask you. Best bet is to see a doctor or try a couple of the things i suggest for a week and if no better se a doc. I know how cr@p it feels. Hope its better soon.
