Torn Meniscus?OK.....i'm 13 and i was recently diagnosed with a torn meniscus....but not really
i have an MRI tomorrow but i want to know..
if i did tear my meniscus (which i most likely did) what are my chances of having surgery compared to physical therapy?

your meniscus will always be torn. I recommend getting the surgery. its minor and orthoscopic and you will bounce back faster than you think. if you dont get it you will be in constant pain, it will "catch" which hurts like a mother and after the surgery you will go to physical therapy anyways.

If it is comfirmed as a torn meniscus you would probably have to get surgery. Especially with your age you should get the surgery because of your age, you dont want to wait till your 20 with cronic knee pain and be wishing that you have gotten the surgery. But then again you just have to wait for your MRI results to see if it is torn or if you damaged something else as well.
Trust me I know what your going thru I'm going to get surgery later this month for a torn medial meniscus and articular tear.
